Job Summary
​
Seeking an experienced Director of Surgical Services to lead non-clinical operations across perioperative departments. This role oversees scheduling, staffing, budgeting, vendor coordination, and regulatory compliance. No direct patient care is required.
Key Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the Operating Room, PACU, Ambulatory Surgery, Infusion, and Central Sterile

Lead recruitment, scheduling, and labor management based on caseload and skill mix

Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams to optimize OR availability

Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards

Oversee equipment, supplies, and facility readiness for safe and efficient care

Support change management and process improvement initiatives

Monitor service metrics and drive operational excellence

Interpret financial reports and manage departmental productivity and expenses

Build effective cross-functional relationships and promote service standards
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Business, Nursing, or related field (Master’s preferred)

Minimum 5 years of experience in surgical services or hospital operations

At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role

Certification in Operating Room Nursing is a plus, but not required

Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Ability to manage complex workflows and lead multidisciplinary teams
Work Environment & Physical Demands

Requires standing, walking, lifting, and occasional emergency response

May involve irregular hours and on-call responsibilities

Exposure to clinical equipment and unpredictable situations
