Position Overview
The Human Resources Director will serve as a strategic partner and operational leader within our physician practice, overseeing all HR functions to ensure compliance, efficiency, and a positive workplace culture. This role is responsible for aligning HR initiatives with organizational goals, supporting clinical and administrative staff, and driving workforce stability to enhance patient care delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership

Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs that support practice growth and compliance.

Partner with executive leadership to align HR strategy with organizational objectives.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

Lead recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for physicians, nurses, and administrative staff.

Collaborate with department heads to forecast staffing needs and ensure timely placements.

Employee Relations & Engagement

Serve as a trusted advisor for staff and leadership on employee relations matters.

Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional development.

Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including healthcare-specific regulations.

Oversee credentialing, licensure verification, and HR audits.

Compensation & Benefits Administration

Manage payroll, benefits, and compensation structures to remain competitive and equitable.

Evaluate and recommend enhancements to employee benefits programs.

Performance Management & Training

Implement performance evaluation systems and professional development initiatives.

Provide training programs to support leadership development and clinical/administrative excellence.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Minimum 7–10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in healthcare or physician practice settings.

Strong knowledge of employment law, healthcare compliance, and credentialing requirements.

Proven ability to lead recruitment and retention strategies in clinical environments.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) strongly preferred.
