Position Summary
​
A leading multi-site healthcare system in Binghamton, New York is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and relational HR executive to serve as System Director, Human Resources Business Partner. This is a highly visible senior leadership role responsible for advancing and strengthening the organization’s HR Business Partner (HRBP) model across the system.
Reporting directly to the Vice President / Chief Human Resources Officer, the System Director will lead a team of HR Business Partners who act as trusted advisors to senior leaders and operational executives. This role is instrumental in aligning people strategy with business objectives while driving engagement, culture, workforce development, and organizational effectiveness across the enterprise.
This position requires a modern HR leader who embraces a performance-driven, metrics-focused approach and thrives in a complex, fast-paced healthcare environment.
On-site presence is required. Remote or hybrid arrangements are not available.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership

Partner with executive and division leaders to design and implement HR strategies aligned with system-wide goals

Drive workforce planning initiatives that support operational excellence and sustainable growth

Serve as a senior advisor on engagement, retention, culture, and leadership development
Organizational Development & Change Leadership

Lead enterprise-wide change management initiatives

Provide executive coaching and leadership guidance

Design and implement programs that strengthen employee engagement and organizational effectiveness
HRBP Team Leadership

Manage and mentor a team of Human Resources Business Partners

Elevate the HRBP model to ensure consistent, high-impact support to leadership

Foster accountability, performance excellence, and strategic alignment within the HRBP team
Data-Driven Decision Making

Utilize analytics, benchmarks, and workforce metrics to guide strategic decisions

Monitor and improve key HR performance indicators

Ensure measurable ROI on HR initiatives
Total Rewards, Talent & Workforce Strategy

Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to integrate Total Rewards, Talent Management, and Talent Acquisition strategies

Support succession planning, workforce development, and retention strategies

Address complex employee relations matters with a system-wide perspective
Systems & Continuous Improvement

Partner across functions to enhance HR systems such as Workday HCM

Identify process improvements and implement scalable HR solutions

Translate organizational strategy into actionable HR initiatives
Ideal Candidate Profile

Senior-level HR leadership experience within a complex organization (healthcare experience strongly preferred)

Demonstrated success leading HR Business Partner teams

Strong expertise in Total Rewards, Talent Management, and Talent Acquisition

Experience driving change management and organizational transformation

Advanced understanding of HR analytics and metrics-driven decision-making

Compensation
