Job Description

 

Job Summary

​

The Manager, Physician Recruitment oversees the full physician and provider recruitment process to identify, hire, and retain top medical talent. This role ensures strategic alignment with organizational needs, supports leadership in workforce planning, and drives recruitment initiatives that strengthen clinical teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and coordinate strategic planning for physician and advanced practice provider recruitment.

  • Manage recruitment assignments and keep leadership informed of industry trends and retention strategies.

  • Supervise physician recruiters to ensure successful placements.

  • Implement efficient recruitment strategies, including job postings, specialty advertising, outreach campaigns, and residency program engagement.

  • Maintain strong communication with physicians, practitioners, and staff throughout the recruitment process.

 

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience

  • 1–3 years working directly with physician or executive leadership.

  • 1–3 years in healthcare recruitment, preferably physician and advanced practice provider recruitment.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of healthcare credentialing and privileging processes (preferred).

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

  • Demonstrated experience coaching teams and consulting with hiring leaders.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Proven ability to develop and execute talent acquisition strategies.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily office-based with routine standing, walking, and sitting.

  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to handle repetitive motions and maintain effective communication.

  • Exposure to healthcare environments may occur.
