Position Summary

​

The Physical Therapy Supervisor oversees daily therapy operations, staff performance, and delivery of high‑quality rehabilitation services. This role provides clinical leadership, supports patient‑centered care, and ensures efficient workflows across the therapy team.

Key Responsibilities

​

• Supervise PTs and PTAs, providing clinical guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.

• Oversee daily therapy operations, scheduling, and workflow management.

• Ensure consistent delivery of evidence‑based, patient‑centered rehabilitation services.

• Support evaluations, treatment planning, and care coordination as needed.

• Monitor documentation quality and compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient progress and discharge planning.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental planning.

• Assist with onboarding, training, and professional development of therapy staff.

• Maintain a safe, efficient, and patient‑focused clinical environment.

 

 

Qualifications

​

• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in good standing.

• Minimum of 2–3 years of clinical experience; prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

• Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and organizational skills.

• Experience in outpatient, inpatient rehab, SNF, or acute care (depending on setting).

• Familiarity with EMR systems and documentation best practices.

• Strong understanding of rehabilitation best practices and interdisciplinary care.

• Ability to coach, mentor, and support staff development.
