Job Description

Job Summary

​

The Physician Recruiter is responsible for successfully recruiting physicians and advanced practice providers. This role requires building strong networks, understanding market compensation trends, and guiding candidates through complex hiring processes to ensure successful placements.

 

Key Responsibilities

​

  • Source and identify physicians using creative recruitment methods.

  • Review CVs/applications, conduct phone screens, and assess candidate fit.

  • Present opportunities clearly, including compensation, benefits, and role details.

  • Develop practice descriptions, job postings, and targeted hiring campaigns.

  • Build relationships with residency programs and attend recruitment events.

  • Maintain candidate tracking systems and ensure timely follow-up.

  • Manage recruitment budgets, track invoices, and analyze advertising effectiveness.

  • Coordinate candidate itineraries, site visits, and interview logistics.

  • Conduct reference checks and gather feedback from interviewers and candidates.

 

Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (or equivalent).

Experience

  • 4–6 years of recruiting experience required.

  • Physician or healthcare recruitment experience strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to build rapport with physicians and administrators.

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and self-motivation.

  • Skilled in preparing clear, concise, and professional reports and documents.

  • Ability to independently plan, prioritize, and make decisions.

  • Strong customer service orientation with a positive, adaptable attitude.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily office-based with routine standing, walking, and sitting.

  • Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to handle repetitive motions and maintain effective communication.

  • Exposure to healthcare environments may occur.
