Senior Project Manager,
Health Tech Implementations
Remote
Full time/Day Shift
$120,000 per year
Job description:
We’re a fast-growing health tech startup transforming the medical coding and healthcare operations space. Our platform helps providers streamline coding, strengthen compliance, and unlock measurable operational efficiencies at scale.
We’re looking for a Senior Implementation Project Manager with a strong IT / SaaS background who can own multiple customer implementations end-to-end, operate as a true partner to leadership, and help us scale our delivery motion in a fast-paced startup environment.
This is a hands-on, execution-heavy role for someone who is comfortable leading independently, juggling multiple complex projects at once, and working cross-functionally across Product, Engineering, and Customer teams — fully remote.
What You’ll Do
-
Own the full customer implementation lifecycle from kickoff through go-live and post-launch adoption.
-
Manage multiple implementations in parallel, balancing timelines, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
-
Act as a strategic partner to internal leadership — proactive, independent, and solutions-oriented.
-
Lead customer kickoff sessions, gather technical and operational requirements, and align scope, success criteria, and timelines.
-
Serve as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders, including IT, clinical, operational, and executive leaders.
-
Coordinate technical integrations with EHRs and data systems, including Epic, coding platforms, and APIs (HL7, FHIR).
-
Work closely with Engineering and Integration teams to drive testing, validation, and production readiness.
-
Identify risks early, escalate appropriately, and drive mitigation plans without waiting for direction.
-
Support customer change management: training, workflow adoption, and operational readiness.
-
Track and report on implementation KPIs such as time-to-value, adoption, and customer satisfaction.
-
Continuously improve implementation processes, documentation, and playbooks as we scale.
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Background
-
5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in SaaS, IT, or health tech companies
-
Proven track record managing multiple complex projects simultaneously in a product-driven environment.
-
Hands-on experience working with Epic (required).
-
Strong familiarity with healthcare IT environments, EHR workflows, and system integrations.
-
Experience working in startups or high-growth companies where structure is still being built.
-
Demonstrated success working fully remote with distributed teams.
Technical & Domain Knowledge
-
Experience with health system integrations (HL7, FHIR, APIs, EHR feeds).
-
Solid understanding of healthcare operations, revenue cycle, and/or medical coding workflows.
-
Comfort translating between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
Traits & Working Style
-
Highly independent, proactive, and self-directed — this role requires minimal hand-holding.
-
Strong ownership mentality; sees themselves as a partner, not just a task executor.
-
Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead conversations with senior stakeholders.
-
Organized, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure.
-
Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure while executing.
Location & Availability
-
Must be based in Central or Eastern Time zones
-
West Coast candidates will not be considered
-
Fully remote role
Tools & Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
-
PMP, Agile, Scrum, or Health IT certifications (preferred).
-
Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Asana, Smartsheet, or similar.
-
Familiarity with HIPAA, compliance, and healthcare data standards is a plus.
Nice to Have
-
Direct experience with medical coding or revenue cycle operations.
-
Experience building or scaling implementation playbooks.
-
Prior exposure to fast-paced startup environments in healthcare or enterprise SaaS.
Why Join Us?
-
Join a mission-driven startup reshaping healthcare operations and compliance.
-
Play a key role in defining how we scale customer onboarding and implementations.
-
Work closely with a smart, motivated, cross-functional team at the intersection of healthcare and technology.
-
High ownership, high impact, and real influence on how the company grows.
